     Served with the US Infantry [37th Regiment under command of Comm.David T Welch] during the war of 1812 from 16 Dec 1814 to 10 May 1815 as a Sargeant.

He recieved a double land bounty for his service, located in the States if Illinois Military Tract, patent delivered to him in Glastonbury, CT on 13 June 1818. He never mad a claim for the land.
