Henry Palmer became one of the early settlers of Mallory Twp., Clayton Co., Iowa, obtaining 160 acres in Section 4 Malklory Tsp., Clayton Co., Iowa, from the government, from which he reclaimed a fine farm. Here he remained a sterling and honoured citizen until the time of his death in 1872. His wife died in 1910. THey were members of the United Brethern Church and he was a Democrat in political allegiance"
